A total of 14,244,105 out of the estimated 16 million population in Cambodia have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, since the campaign began on February 10 this year.
Of this number, a total of 13,624,353 have been fully vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine.
A further 3,365,389 of those fully vaccinated have received their third or booster dose as of the same date.
The 14,244,105 vaccinated with at least one dose comprise:
Adults aged 18 and above – 10,141,161 people or 101.41 percent of whom 9,785,021 have been fully vaccinated with both doses
Adolescents aged 12 to 18 – 1,809,884 people or 99.04 percent of whom 1,727,951 have been fully vaccinated with both doses
Children aged 06 to 12 – 1,994,026 people or 105.09 percent of whom 1,898,729 have been fully vaccinated
Children aged 5 – 299,033 people or 98.26 percent of whom 212,652 have been fully vaccinated with both doses.
Except for adolescents and children aged 5, the other two categories, adults and children aged 6 to 12, have exceeded the planned targets (based on 2019 census).
The booster dose for adolescents is set to begin on January 3, 2022 for adolescents whose 2nd dose has lapsed by at least four months.
